There are many different routes you can take with Internet Marketing. In this article I am going to explain just one avenue called Affiliate Marketing.
Now what is affiliate marketing?
Simply put, it's advertising. There are literally thousands of companies that are willing to pay for individuals to advertise there products. Some for example are Wal-Mart, Amazon, Gunthy-Renker, and Best Buy. The list goes on and on. The possibilities are endless.
How are YOU supposed to make money?
Very easy, you will be given a specific link for the products you are promoting. You will then need to post those links in a few blogs and/or forums. You can, if you choose, write some articles to help build more traffic. Another option is to do some social bookmarking. Again the options are endless. After doing this, if someone purchases a product through your link, you will receive a commission. The commissions vary from company to company. I however have seen commissions as high as 75% and some companies offer a recurring commission for certain products.
This all seems pretty simple. What's the catch?
Anything that sounds to good to be true is probably a lie! So here is the downside of affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing you will need to apply a fair amount of work to get started. You will also need to learn a great deal. Another task you will have to do to become a successful Internet Marketer, is to stay on top of the competition. Because most people give up on Internet Marketing, due to lack of knowledge, there is not a large amount of competition. Overall Internet Marketing is pretty simple, however you will need to learn the key techniques to make it work. If you jump in blindly, you will easily give up, because of frustration.
Now I want you to really think about these questions.
Do you want to make more money?
Would you like to spend more time with your family or friends?
Do you want to have the freedom to do whatever you want when you want?
Would you like to have extra money to save for - a new car - a house - college tuition for your children - a nice trip - or for whatever you like?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then today is the day you start a new life!
With Internet Marketing the possibilities are endless. If you can put in the work, be patient, have an open mind, and are motivated to stay on top of the game you CAN become a successful Internet Marketer!
